Ski and Snowboard Lessons
  • Class Placement/Class Size: Students are evaluated on the first day of class, by a process called ā€œSki-Off.ā€ All students are assessed by an on snow supervisor and placed into an appropriate class; students are divided by both age and ability. If a student feels they have been misplaced they can speak with an on snow supervisor and be re-tested. Nashoba Valley suggests students arrive 15 minutes in advance of the testing time on the first day. Class size can be up to 10 students with 1 instructor. Students are allowed to switch their lesson from ski to snowboard or from snowboard to ski during the first 2 weeks. After week 2 students will not be allowed to switch their lesson type.
  • Lesson Meeting Place: Ski lessons meet out on the snow in front of the Rental Shop; snowboard lessons meet beyond the beginner area, near the black double chair lift. Please note that classes may begin and end on different slopes, please make sure to plan a meeting place specific to your group. All Tuesday and Wednesday lessons start at 5:30 PM and run 1-hour.
