Longfellow Tennis Club offers many classes throughout the year for all skill levels. All classes take place at the Longfellow Tennis Club in Wayland.

WINTER PROGRAMS
Pre Zip Tennis: The Pre Zip tennis program uses foam and low compression tennis balls, with racquets and the court (36 foot) scaled to a players age and size. Pre Zip Clinics are designed for 4-5 year olds with little or no tennis experience. Classes focus on motor skills, balance, coordination, agility and racket drills. ease wear soft soled shoes, racquets are provided. Classes focus on motor skills, balance, coordination, agility and racquet drills. Please bring a tennis racquet if you have one. 

Zip Tennis I and II: Zip Tennis I and II (for ages 6 - 7) is designed for kids with little or no tennis experience. Using lower compression balls and smaller courts, children are introduced to the exciting sport of tennis. Classes focus on motor skills, balance, coordination, agility, and racquet skills. 

Zip Tennis III: Zip Tennis III (for ages 7-8) is designed for children with at least one year of tennis experience, continuing to focus on rally skills, serving, and point play. Please bring tennis racquet. 

SPRING PROGRAMS
Pre-Red Ball Tennis: This program is designed for 4-5 year old's with little or no tennis experience. The goals and objectives are to focus on motor skills, agility, balance and coordination as well as racquet and rallying skills.  

Orange Ball I Tennis: This program is designed for 9-10 year old Junior Players looking for fun. Played on 60’ courts with low compression balls that are 50% slower than regular yellow balls. The program will focus on basics; stroke development and racquet skills.

Orange Ball II Tennis: This program is designed for 9-10 year old Junior Players looking for fun. Played on 60’ courts with low compression balls that are 50% slower than regular yellow balls. Along with basic strokes, players will learn tactics and strategies for match play.

Red Ball I/II Tennis: This program is designed for 6-7 year old’s with a wide range of tennis skills and experience. The goals and objectives are to focus on motor skills, agility, balance and coordination as well as racquet and rallying skills, serving, and point play.

Red Ball III Tennis: This program is designed for 7-8 year old's with at least one year of Red Ball Tennis experience (or other tennis experience). The goals and objectives are to focus on rallying skills, serving, tactics, point play, and advanced techniques.

Green Ball I Tennis: This program is designed for 11-12 year old’s looking to have fun playing tennis! Played on 60’ courts with low compression balls that are 25% slower than regular yellow balls. Players will learn to serve, rally, and play tennis!

Green Ball II Tennis: This program is designed for 11-12 year old’s looking to have fun playing tennis! Played on 60’ courts with low compression balls that are 25% slower than regular yellow balls. Players will learn the basics of using a rally-based model for playing tennis. The goals and objectives are to focus on all around skill development for singles and doubles play.
 
Yellow Ball Tennis: This program is designed for 12-14 year old’s tennis players. The goals and objectives are to focus on tactics, strategy, and stroke production. Players will learn the skills necessary to be successful at the high school level.

About the Longfellow's Zip Zone
Under the leadership of New England Hall of Famer, Laury Hammel, The Longfellow Clubs have been the largest and most respected group of tennis clubs in New England. All Longfellow Tennis instructors are well trained and certified. Many of them have worked at LTC for 5 or more years.
