adaptive yoga
All children love to move, explore, create, and play.  Taking time to breathe and connect with their bodies can have a positive impact on behavior, mood, and focus.  This class creatively invites young children to flow and find happiness in the moment.  Through stories, breathing, cooperative games, meditation and music children will practice motor skills, early social and emotional skills, turn - taking and self- regulation.  Consistent routines, visual supports and proper assistance will guide children to calm their bodies and minds.  This class will also help children gain confidence and self awareness.  Grow stronger and more flexible all in a relaxed, safe and enjoyable environment.
** Students must be able to take verbal instruction and follow along in a group setting.  Parents and care givers may participate **

Instructor Bio
Yoga Entered Meghan’s Life Meghan walked into her first yoga class in 1998 as a 22 year old looking for a way to stay fit, active, and flexible. She walked out having discovered a truth that from then on would help to challenge her body and nourish her mind and spirit. A lifelong gymnast and gymnastics coach, Meghan has a kinesthetic sense that naturally transitions between gymnastics and yoga. In 2011, Meghan completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Renee LeBlanc and Adena Muncey. Between the spring of 2016 and the spring 2017 Meghan completed Lara Hocheiser’s “Flow and Grow Kids Yoga” 20 hour yoga teacher training and Elizabeth Goranson’s “Stretch What Matters Yoga For Special Needs” 20 hour foundations and 95 hour teacher training.
