About The Performing Arts Connection
The Performing Arts Connection is a full service dance and performing arts school for children, teenagers, and adults. 
Our studio vibe is fun, supportive, and exciting. 
TPAC is committed to helping build confidence in every student while providing the highest level of performing arts instruction.

About the instructor:
Carla is proud to enter her 10th year of teaching at TPAC! She began dancing at age three in Colorado with training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, contemporary, and musical theater dance.  
Carla attended West Texas A&M University earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 2008.  While there she helped run the University Dance Academy, taught classes for a studio in a nearby town, 
was captain of the Thunderette Dance Team, performed in The Nutcracker, and was the line captain and dancer in the musical "Texas". Upon graduation she ventured to Boston and began working at The Performing Arts Connection. 
She has choreographed for numerous youth musicals including  Willy Wonka, Seussical, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Oliver, Alice in Wonderland, Dear Edwina, and more.  
She choreographed for both seasons of PROVE IT and received an EMACT award nomination for Best Choreography for Spring Awakening.  In 2010 she helped form the Eclipse Dance Team. 
Carla's choreography has won various awards including1st place Overall in their division, the Art of Dance Award, and the "Funtastic" award.  
She has also choreographed for Metrowest Family Theater, RJ Grey Jr. High, and The Friends of Broadway.  She currently dances and performs with Onstage Repertory Dance Company, The Mill City Dancers, and Adagio Entertainment and takes various dance classes around Boston. 
She loves teaching and sharing her love of dance with others!

Goals and Objectives
  • -increase confidence
  • -learn basic acting, singing, dance skills in a supportive environment 
  • -experience the joy of movement

Dress code:
Any color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes or non-skid socks, black tap shoes, ballet skirt
(optional), hair pulled back neatly. Boys: Black jazz pants, black ballet shoes or non-skid socks, black tap shoes,
solid color shirt.
