Guitar Class

Group guitar lesson with as much individual attention as possible.

Class level 1 will cover all of the basics from playing open chords, to reading simple melodies, to improvising for fun.

Class level 2 will cover movable chords, scales, and more fun improvisation skills


About the Instructor
Peter Wienik is the founder of Sudbury School of Music, and has a B.M from Berklee College of Music inGuitar Performance, and a M.M. from Boston University in Music Education. This combined with many years as a professional musician and guitar teacher has led to the development of unique materials and techniques that are put to use throughout our fun and effective instrumental programs.

Goals and Objectives class 1
  • Learn to play chords or improve chord playing skills
  • Learn to play simple melodies
  • Practice playing songs with others
  • Get all your guitar questions answered!

Goals and Objectives class 2
  • Play movable chords
  • Read melodies in several positions
  • Arpeggios
  • Use the Pentatonic scale, and arpeggios to improvise
